The 3-4 people I personally know who own or have driven both, totally agree with the Ebay ad. It is the last of the real EVOs. The VII, VIII, and IX are just watered down versions of what used to be.

I totally disagree. I totally enjoy my watered down evo 8 and so do all the magazines that have been testing it for the last 3 years

I'n not saying that the VIII or IX are bad cars, just saying they aren't what they used to be. Just like the current STi isn't same as the "old" 22B. As far as the mags.....they should track test both cars at the same time. I'd love to read that review.
