I have the hks dp and exhaust, I total recommend it for those that want great power and good sound (not to loud). I remember looking at exhaust threads like 2 years ago. This thread brings me back to the drive home from the shop with the new exhaust. Loved it.

Try running an open dp and you will feel a big difference.
I tryed it just for kicks and was pleasantly surprised.
You might show some good results on a dyno as well.
Obviously it's loud too.

yea, buschur tested his tbe with a test pipe and his muffler against an open ended exhaust and they were almost the same in power (if not the same, i cant remember) BACK PRESSURE IS BAD!

Because changing the exhaust is for power, not sound. Sound gets annoying over time and in some places, like where I live, you get ticketed for anything that makes anymore noise than stock.
Now I know!

Going too large and you will lose bottom-end torque. It's all about efficiency, your plan isn't to COMPLETELY disgard backpressure with an overly-large exhaust (on a street car). Think of it KIND of like going overboard on cams. You CAN put 280's on a 16g'd car but you will lose a LOT of low end driveability/power you'd be much better off with 264's with that turbo.
