Weight Reduction......
Just curious what you guys thought was possible, I am considering doing this in the near future. If you are asking yourself why, I don't use my car for a daily driver, and I think it would be fun/different to have a track car that was 2500 lbs (if possible) and 500 WHP on C16. Oh this would be a full out gut, no air bags, sound dampening, ac, etc, with a cage.

That's cute fella's if you don't have anything worth reading than don't bother. I was actually serious about it. I am looking at more on the removal side of things not replacing, what kind of weight reduction I could see removing things such as air bags, window motors, ac, etc....

everything that is replaceable and is significant in weight reduction is going to cost some money. But if you're trying to buid a purpose built race car, then you're going to sink some money into it.
CF doors -- I would guess around $1000
Pulling all seats and just having a race seat -- About $400
Magnesium wheels -- $2500-3000 (but it's unsprung weight)
lexan windows -- no idea. rough estimate around 1000-1500
The front and rear crash bars are 30lbs
mini battery saves about 20lbs
titanium exhaust saves about 45lbs
air bags would be about 30-40lbs combined
A/C would be about 30-40lbs
carpet in the whole car - about 60lbs
pulling stock seats -- about 20lb for passenger seat and 10lbs for rear set
rear window sprayer resovoir - if full about 10lbs
IC sprayer - about 10lbs if full
front window sprayer -- about 10lbs
Dash -- maybe 15lbs
You're sitting around 300lbs now. And that's all I can think of.
You will need to replace parts to get to 2500lbs

I think that it is a great idea and I have been contemplating the same thing. I would guess that even by just reducing the weight of the vehicle by 300lbs you would be astounded at the performance difference. My S2k weighs what, about 2800lbs so that is about 400lbs less than the Evo and that car makes the Evo feel like a muscle car. It is amazing how much more agile and quick it feels.

Other items are lighter brakes, tires, rims, heater (all ducting althought that would go with the dash as well), light weight drive shaft, bumpers front and rear, sound deadining material, fuel cell, and chromoly roll cage. Titanium, carbon fiber, and aluminimum parts everywhere you can replace them.
