hehehe....here's the flame thrower

I am fine with my current setup, MBC, just interested to see if anyone came across similar problems. When I bought this MR, it had this MBC installed so there's no way for me to tell where the freaking rotation started.

anyone has this greddy PRofec-B, ugly as hell, but seems like it's good.

you know just b/c you ran some fast times at the track doesn't mean you know everything, i do respect your opinions but i have worked with both, and yes the ebc is better, its not just a boost gauge, so stop talking like a jackass

I didn't say it was just a boost gauge. I said the only reason he would be switching to it is to USE it as a boost gauge. He has a Hallman that works fine. This was never about which of the two was better...he just couldn't see his boost gauge. Get it?

And still, EBCs are not "better" than MBCs. EBCs have their fair share of problems and are far more expensive. There's a reason why 90% of the DSM world didn't/doesn't use them...

Rotation? Huh? It doesn't matter where the rotation started...that's random anyway. Just go drive your car and look at the boost gauge in 3rd gear at 5500-6000rpm. If you can't do that, then have a friend ride with you. It's unbelievably simple...

If you just want an EBC, get an EBC. The boost gauge has nothing to do with any of this, does it? Many of us MR owners have a Hallman MBC and still use the factory boost gauge without any problem. It is annoying that they put it on the bottom right, but it's still useful.

Also, we have an MR-specific board where you can ask questions to just MR owners. It's just like this site, but with an "R" after the "M"

And because they can be unreliable. It doesn't matter if you had no problems for 2 years. That doesn't make it worth 4X the cost of an MBC (to most of us).

I did a search the other night about MBCs vs EBCs.
Advocates of the EBCs seemed to like the different settings that can be put in memory and easily switched for different driving conditions on the fly.

No, never said that. I want to hear some feedback on how well each works. When i do a search on boost controller in this forum, i couldn't find much on EBCs..

the only reason I consider ebc is not only the easy to read turbo boosts, but also easy to set boost settings.

for most turboed cars, it's easy to have BoostCreep and spiking down the road somewhere with some mod. Again, it's easier to figure out if you are BoostCreep or spiking or both with an ebc. Gauge readings don't do crap because they have a pretty big margin of error.

Anyway, what I said might not be right, but correct me if I am wrong. so far this is what I think it's good about ebcs.
