I voided my Evo warranty when I installed HKS racing suction. I was still pissed though when they wouldn't honor the TSB for the crappy transmission they put in this car. This thing shifts the same as my old 93 Stealth AWD Turbo.
I knew when I bought this car the warranty woulld be a joke even if I didn't modify it. I've had nothing but trouble for the last 15 years even on non-modified cars.
I am going to keep the Evo but I just bought an Acrua TL for a daily driver to forget about all the hassle.
And as far as the dealer goes, its not up to them--its the regional mitsubishi service manager/warranty approval rep. I'm pretty sure they're all dick heads. It took me 2 hours to track mine down after he denied my TSB and when I did he was an a-hole.

Thousands Oaks Mitsubishi is a joke, I went to go check out the EVO RS there, and a dealer came up to me and was talking to me. I told him that I was checking it out and didn't have any plans to buy today. So he was like, "How is your credit?"
So I say, "it's Ok, not the best in the world."
He just rolled his eyes and started walking away, and then he pointed to a 2006 Eclipse GT, and said "Maybe this would be better for you," and he continued to walk away.
What a dumb ***! Also the Eclipse was actually $2,000 more expensive than the EVO RS there, double dumb ***! South Coast Mitsubishi is the place to go.

T.O. Mitsu tried to turn a $50 oil change into a "$130 service". After I signed off for $50 on an oil and filter change (2500 miles on the clock), they called me and said it would be $130. I asked why, and they said, "I forgot to tell you, all we have is the 7500 mile service, which is tire rotation, blah blah blah". (Work they already did.) So I just said, "I didn't authorize that, so I'm not paying for it." So $50 it was. Thanks for the free tire rotation at.. 2500 miles.. But I won't be going back either.
