I agree. And bring valuable things in the house at night if possible. Hard to steal things if they arent there.

Seeing as I haven't had a single claim in the 8 years I've been driving, it didn't really make sense to go for the $500 deductible.

Sorry to hear about your car. Taking the wing was a dick move!
not only that, some insurance companies will lower your insurance rate for having an alarm. I know state farm does... atleast mine does.
I have copies of cds in my car. $20 worth of cdrs stolen is cheaper than $850+ worth of cds. plus i tend to scratch cds in my car.

Alarms don't always do the trick, after my first experience with dumb *** vandals that tried to steal my spoiler but could'nt. I ran out and bought A viper alarm with a couple bells and whistles, the day I don't park it under a camera it got broken into. The dumb **** heels could'nt take my blow off valve but stole my front floor mats.
I wonder if these people even have EVO's??/ if they do it's a shame

Where in Woodland Hills? I just moved into my condo. I was renting a townhome beofre, and it had a garage. Now there's an underground garage. I was thinking about an alarm since someone COULD get access into the garage. At least my comprehensive deductable is $100 bucks though.

Hate to say it, but the $1000 deductable is the right way to go. By the time your car is paid for, you will have saved 5 times that amount in premiums. To pay an extra $100 a month just for somthing that MIGHT happen is retarted. And if you have to shell out the $1000, then your still 4g's ahead. And if it happens 3 more times, you still have a net gain of $1000. And if you live in the Ghetto, then you shouldnt have bought a car like this in the first place. Bro, i have $1000 on all my rides and have saved thousands oner the last 20 years. Your doing the right thing. People with no money always take the cheap way, hence they still have no money.........RRR

i hate people, thats why I have a alarm with a 2 way pager, back up battery and proximity sensor. it goes off when it rains and leaves blow around, but its worth it. I'd rather it wake me up every night and save my **** once then get broken into.
Funny though, this past saturday I pull up around 9:30pm and park right up to my house, 2 ft away and my driveway is probably 30ft long. Well 30 mins later i cant find my cell phone and i always leave them in the cupholder in my car. i had left my windows down and hadnt even locked me car because i ddint plan on staying home long. So i got outside to take the garbage out and i notice my glovebox is open and my PS2 is kinda crooked. I also notice the controller is unwravelled on my passenger seat and no phone in the cupholder. So another 20 mins of looking for my phone and i ask my friend and my girlfriend if they opened my glovebox. neither did. i think someone called my phone as people were walking by and they heard it and walked up my driveway and stole my phone out of my cupholder and i guess decided at that point to see what else I had. Well they musta got nervous and took off because they didnt get the ps2 or anything else. But now some scumbag knows i have a tv deck and ps2. i stay up til 3am every night now
