There is a variable here though and a reason to go with a low deductible. The original poster is out $1000 because of some scumbag. That has to be harder to swallow than if it was a $250.
Another poster or two have it right though. It doesn't take long to make up that extra cash you might have to shell out one day.
BTW, my wife admitted to me last night that she backed her car into a fence the night before and dented her bumper. (I don't have the highest deductible on her car for a reason)

New rule :evos should now come with exploding doorhandles that only explode when the car is turned off and the glass brakes. Also a 4guageshotgun with the contract would have been nice at the dealer.

already since i have had this car i would have paid way more than a 1,000 over increased ins. policy over the last yr. so i actually saved money doing it this way. I'm just pissed it happened. you can keep as good a care of the car u want, but its always someone else that messes sh i t. up

you know ive never responded to any of your smart *** posts before but come on man the guy just had his car broken into and youre going to tell him he shouldnt have bought it in the first place because his deductible is a grand? quit trying to be the authority on evos and putting everyone else down.
back to the the post: sorry to hear about your car. i guess an evo just sticks out more than a porchse or a mustang. god luck dealing with your insurance co. and as we all know it comes back around. they will get whats coming to them

thanks everybody for the responces. I am just beyond the point of being upset. and hve just pushed it aside in my consciousness, to avoid being a grouchy as s hole. If it aint one thing its another. I hate Los Angeles, moving to Austin Texas in a mo. or so and cannot wait to get away from this damn smoggy zoo.

Anything after this point will be nothing but flames. I just wanted to voice my frustration. Ralliart guys here is your chance to talk all the crap u want about me and prove your age. if not then u guys can just laugh at the fact that now my car looks like yours now after 3 weeks of having the official evo wing.

(strikes a match)
No seriously, sorry to hear about your issues. My wife's car (pre-Lancer) was victimized SEVERAL times last year and my poor old Sentra was stolen and used for a brief crime spree before the retards got themselves busted... and of course, I had to pay to get the rustbucket back.
People who steal cars or from cars should have their ***** slammed in the door of those cars a few times. Bastards.

I'm 24 m, make $55k a year and have 3 cars on my insurance. I have a $1k ded. b/c it keeps my costs down. I live in a rural area in Jersey but since it is Jersey and I am under 25 and not married insurance companies all kick my a s s and rape me. $1,000 deductible is not unusual. and it has nothing to do with affording it.

sorry to hear about your loss man , I know how you feel. My car was stripped in the parking lot of my old apartment. It was so bad insurance ended up totaling it. Good luck and I hope you find those douche bags
