pics of aftermarket HID's on my non-ssl 05 EVO 8 enjoy!!
The kit I bought is from blinglights.com, sold by darksyderacing.com on the srt forums. I got the 8000K VHO (Very High Output) kit with 9006 D2S Bulbs.
normal HID's run on 35 watts of power but this one runs on 50watts.
Here are some pics for you to drool on:
From Far away, camera 3' off the ground
comments welcome!
FYI, my buddy parked his 05 MR next to mine as well the other night, and side by side, my HID's make his OEM HID's look like it was a stock 9006 bulb

i paid $420 shipped for it.... sure worth every penny! Now they do offer the 50 watt High output kits in 6000K and 4300K temp ranges....

I installed it myself. Had to remove the headlight housing though
The $299 price is for their standard kit that comes with the 35 Watt ballast. Mine is the upgraded version with the 50 watt ballast, therefore the light output is brighter and more intense.

It only seems blinding if you get on your knees and lower your eye level to like 3-4 feet off the ground. i think people in cars sit at a higher eye-level...but even so, it looks good.
