try a search, there have been numerous topics on this...I have heard that vis is no good. And can vouch for that. I had a 95 gst, with a vis hood, and it developed stress cracks within 3 months..(with hoodpins)

I have the Seibon OEM hood. Perfect fitment. I'm gonna stick with them for the trunk lid. I haven't heard anything bad about the VIS but do try to search.

Al from Dynoflash had the VIS trunk...

I saw it in person and it had a major gap on one side. He hated it for that gap. We both were unimpressed because we expected SO much more from a company as big as VIS

I have the seibon type c hood and seibon trunk and love them. Sure the gaps are a little wider than stock, but not nearly as bad as other companies. I got mine through streetconcept.com but i will never order from them again and i would never recommend them to anyone.

As light as the hood and trunk are on an EVO, are there worth while weight savings by going to a carbon hood and trunk, or is it just a cosmetic thing?

I know for sure, cause I have a cf hood, that its just a cosmetic thing. I not sure about the weight savings on the trnk lid but I'm pretty sure its cosmetic as well.

Two of the best are Gialla and Chargespeed. Personally I like the chargespeed one best. Best fit. here's some pics.

you did not order a seibon hood through streetconcept.com

you ordered a seibon replica hood made by streetconcept.com thus making it a streetconcept.com hood
