Had the 2005 turbo coolant hose recall done today at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi.
I called them up and they were able to take me in right away. I pulled into
the dealer service area, was met with professionalism and a smile. They
took the car right away and my total wait was about an hour with an oil change.


In addition Huntington Beach Mitsubishi had 5 GSRs on the lot and one GSR with SSL.
All at 0% and willing to negotiate. They are the number selling Evo dealer in
the United States. They also have buyers from Arizona, Nevada and Texas.
For warranty repairs they have Evo owners from all over California.
The service manager informed me that TBEs with the stock cat, panel filters,
boost gauges are ok. Basic modifications ok.


So I had to drive 47 miles to get great service from Huntington Beach Mitsubishi.
The irony is that Freeway Mitsubishi is only 7 miles from my house. I had set an appointment with Freewat Mitsui first and was assured by thier parts and service department that they
had they part and would definetly be able to perform the warranty repair.
So I pulled up to the dealer service area this morning and was told they ran out
of the part.

Was I pissed. Maybe just a little. Freeway
OK, I feel better now.

I wish we had dealerships like that over here.

i guess cause my 05 was made in august 04, that's why i didn't get a letter.

 

Yes for the 05 turbo coolant hose. I got a recall notice in the mail last week.

 

I went to that same dealer before, they are good people no doubt.

 

 

are they friendly to modded car also?

 

i deal with the parts guy, richard, a lot and he knows his stuff a lot better than any other dealer that i call so i always call there first and ive only heard good things about them.

 

I had a dealership like that in MA... Boch Mitsubishi was one of the best selling Mitsu dealers around. They had about 9 GSR's 4 MR's.. along with a couple of Porches and a yellow NSX.


Guess what?

They are starting to go out of business

I use to get my warrantied oil changes there, in and out in 30 mins.

They were also MOD friendly! They offered to let me keep my stock air filter cause I have an aftermarket one.

I don't know if they wouldve honored my warranty with my mods but I never had a problem with my Evo yet anyway! 30k well spent

 

They are friendly to basic modifications.



They sent me the 05 CD FSM for $50.00



Man, that's bad, I'm sorry to here that. I guess you'll have to move to
Huntington Beach so you can live near by them.
