My megan racing catback hanger broke (long, good read)

So I was inspecting my exhaust the other day, adjusting the rear hanger actually, and I stumbled upon this:

I laughed, I couldn't believe that the hanger had actually TORN the metal on the pipe. I purchased this from a vendor on this site, so I contacted them and they put me in touch w/ MR customer service via email.

Here is the email I dispatched:

The weld on one of the intermediate pipe's hangers has broken, and consequently torn the metal of the pipe. It has created a sizeable hole which you can see in these pictures:

The pipe which is torn is the 2nd intermediate pipe. Basically the system consists of:

1st intermediate pipe -> 2nd intermediate pipe -> muffler (axle-back)

The 1st intermediate pipe doesn't have a hanger, so I am hoping what we can do is just get a new 2nd intermediate pipe shipped to me for replacement, and I would gladly return this one with the tear.

I have heard wonderful stories about your warranty support so I am hoping we can get this situation taken care of with speed! Let me know what to do, thanks.

-Chris
I received a response back within a few hours, after my message had apparently been forwarded to the R&D department:

I have the part boxed up and ready to go, I just need the shipping address on where to send it and I'll be all set to ship it out to you. Please let me know if there's anything at all that I can do to help you or your customer out. Thank you once again for your time and consideration.

WOW! I was a happy camper. Sent him my address, thanking him profusely for such excellent customer support, and received my new intermediate pipe today!

Here is his response to my question about whether or not I could post his emails on the forum (mildly edited for content length):

So here's the deal: if you are concerned about megan racing quality, don't be. Yes you may run into some issues here and there with fitment and/or hangers breaking but it's not going to be a lot of you, and their customer service is there to back you if you do run into an issue.

Thanks again to Steve for the insane turn around on this issue.

I don't think it'd be that easy Perhaps over time you could defraud them out of piece by piece of the exhaust.

I suppose these are the types of responses one should expect from a post like this.

^ And to top that off, who wouldn't want this kind of support from a company? Try getting this from JIC/HKS/etc.

Good to hear they stand behind their products as many companies do not anymore. With this I am more inclined to give their coilovers a chance.

I only had about 4 months on it, so about 6k miles for me I'd say.

Glad this gives you guys some hope. Much like anything, it's hard to get over the "too good to be true" pricing issues with parts especially for this car where everything is seemingly overpriced. I am confident they would handle any problems you might come upon in the same manner.
