not enough to get an evo especially for a part time job with a minimum wage. Wait till you make 40 bucks an hour, 40 hrs a week then it's all kool!

i'm curious, why do you want to finance through family with mitsubishi doing 0% now? you build no credit paying family your loan payments

Youre a smart dude, lets do some math shall we.

$600 car payment
$300 insurance
$120 gas
$312 grandma (payback in 4 years)
$100 date money

= $1,432 net cost a month

That’s a paycheck for about $1,800 gross.

If you find a part time job that pays $20.75 you can barely scrape by (chicks dig guys that cant afford to super-size there meal) Good luck player.

If I can get 8-10 for it and get another 10 from parents and grandma what should I get. I really don't want a corolla. Man this SUCKS! I really want an evo but I guess its not gonna happen. haha I guess I have to just stick with going to the dealership once in a while and just sitting in it. I am thinking either mustang but I am not sure about an american car. The srt-4 is not bad but I am not a fan of the looks. What I am thinking is maybe acura rsx type s but I still don't know. If you guys would put yourselves in my situation what would you get?

I think the best advice is to live within your means. Cars may seem important at 16 but they aren't in the long run. Work your *** off, succeed, then profit.

Furthermore, go to college without a car payment and have fun. College can be the best experience of your life. It was for me. I certainly wouldn't trade those 4 or 5 years for any car.

Wait a little while. I am 18 with a perfect driving record and my best insurance quote was $2100.00 for six month. The price included good student and a family plan. To own an evo you need a full time job or very generous parents(in my opinion)

Wait till your at least 18. I got my evo my senior year in high school and everything was fine. Actually before the evo my lancer oz got vandalized at school but not the evo, thank god haha. When i was your age, 16, i bought a lancer oz. I was fun i had still had money and everything, it was modded pretty good too, all the basic bolt ons from rrm. Then at 18 i upgraded!

Right thats not really the issue. But you dont have the money to buy the evo, pay for insurance and gas, and still have money on the side. Bottom line. You need to save alot more money!

Plus not having a job....

hey bro. since i was i kid i've been dreamin to get an evo and it became my dream car. it all started since evo 3 came out. no i'm 21yrs. old i can finally afford it. it took me 3 yrs. to to earn for a down payment. i'm in the military and i'm just a low ranking guy. we don't get payed as much as u think and it took me a while to buy it. other than that i'm also in college spending books and all that. i'm 21 and my insurance is still expensive. i deeply understand how u feel bcoz i was in ur shoes when i was 16 but it took me all this time to buy one. honestly i just got my evo last month, used and a 2003 model. just take time and start earning until u have the right anount of money and monthly pament for everything. listen to al of us who replied u. u got to consider gas too that thing has to have premium. just take ur time bro. we know how u feel
