Wing RIPPED from trunk in LA last night
I came out of my friend's apt. in Larchmont this morning, Corner of Bronson and Clinton (one block from the Paramount Studio on Melrose), to find my wing ripped from the trunk with the frayed and cracked carbon fiber base layers of the side wings still bolted into the trunk lid.
The trunk is all bent up and mangled under the mount areas where they wrenched on the wing, pulling the bolts, to break it off. Trunk latch is broken but at least the trunk is shut and nothing I need badly in there except my basketball and b-ball shoes.
What they ended up with must be a mess of cracked and useless carbon fiber.
They also left a 3 inch dent in the pass side rear quarter panel where they bumped a knee or something.
Fools must be really desperate for an EVO wing.

wow man that totally sucks....a CF trunk would be a good option if you like that look and Im sure that would leave you some money left over from the check you get from insurance

Same thing happened to me , but I just got the lancer trunk and went wingless. I got all-seasons for the winter and some other stuff with the left over insurance money. Blessing in disguise for me.

Thanks for all the support and sympathy. I have comprehensive coverage so my deductible is only $250 and I have rental coverage. Yeah, I'm pissed, but much worse things have and will happen and you've got to keep things in perspective. Of course, I want to beat them senseless.
Can anyone recommend a great brand of aftermarket trunk? Where can I get an OEM unpainted wing?
