93+ octane for cars tuned at 91 octane

Not 1/4 mile related but I was tuned for 91 octane. Last week I mixed some 103 with 91 to make 93+. My car boosted a lot harder that's for sure. Daily driving was easier... My car felt like a different beast.
I'm addicted to mixing now and would love to get a 93 tune! I HATE 91

No way. Try 40-50 hp difference, at least where I live in the midwest. I had a car tuned down in TX on my 91 octane. There was a car almost identical to mine in mods getting tuned on 93 the same day, and he ended up making 50 whp than me. There is a big difference between 91 and 93. I had two seperate tuners telling me that our 91 here was horrible so maybe its just where I live, but I kind of doubt it.
Ive seen some evo's both on 91 octane, same exact mods. But one made 10-20whp more. Just some Evo's are naturally stronger. So theres a good chance that the other guys evo was just stronger then yours.
93 does make a difference over 91, but we are not talking 50whp.
Maybe 10-20 if you have aggressive timing.

93 octane(R+M/2) is 93 octane, irrespective of geographic location. There is a difference of two octane numbers between 93 and 91. Given the same engine operating at similar ambient temps and altitude, those 2 additional octane numbers will let you run about 2-4 PSI more boost, which on a DOHC 2-Liter won't produce an additional 40-50 WHP with the stock turbo. At least, I don't think so!

I think Al from Dynoflash mentioned in a thread about some people running a 93 octane flash where 93 wasn't always available and saying that just wasn't worth the risk for 10 extra horses.
And I think in my Eclipse manual it said that while 87 octane was an acceptable octane, 91 would yield 5 percent more horsepower.
Because you mentioned you have an MBC, you can turn your boost up from stock levels if you run 93.

i just want to make sure there's absolutely no way i'm loosing power from running 93 with a 91 tune. It's honestly hard to find 91 around me but i'm sure i could if it meant better long term performance/reliability. Most importantly i am trying to find out the cause of my weak top end power.

My advice, if you have 93 octane, take advantage of it and get tuned for it.

Does anybody know where I can find 93 octane in Souther California? I live in Riverside and can't find 93 anywhere. I read the manual and like someone else said the car should be run on 93 but 91 will do ok. So I'm wondering what it's like to run 93.

I have an account with Cosby Oil in Santa Fe Springs where I can get Sunoco unleaded100 and 104 or leaded 112 and 114 at their pumps, 24/7.
104 costs me ~5-5.35 a gallon depending on the month, while 76 100 is usually $7+/gal.
93 oct does not yield 40-50 WHP over 91. 40-50 WHP is a GOOD increase from 100 vs. 91.
93 will benefit you by making your car knock less when it's hot, or you're boost is creeping, etc.
