Smashed the evo last night...

Some a**hole cut into my lane in a circle last night, so I tried to accelerate past him on the left b/c it was wet and if I hit the breaks I would have hit him... My car does a 180 into the opposite curb...SMASH. Let me say...I never slid when I had the Advans....I put on Kumho MX...slid 2 times. These tires SUCK in the rain!!

any damage to the axle etc?

This is why we all need to have video cameras mounted on our dash like the cops.

well the wheel is now pushed in on the bottom...as if the camber was all messed up. I did not see any obvious bends...but it is hard to tell. Now the question is...if the damage is just to the rim/alignment...do I pass on insurance($500 deduct.) and buy some new rims??

ps. can you believe the Kumho did not pop. they are puncture resistant...but grip like s**t!

I hate Kuhmo's. In my Eclipse I went from Toyo T1-S's to Koomoh's and then I learned what it was like to do 360's on a back country road...brakes would lock up under any firm peddle pressure..I hated my Kooomoh's...never will buy that brand again.

You probably need to take the car to an alignment shop to see how your suspension is looking.

Do you want an awesome tire when you are pushing it with ****ty rain ability...or do you want a tire that squeals and pushes when you want performance but gives you the comfort to do 100mph thru the rain?

Advans w/10k on them on slicks. MX w/10k on them you're about halfway thru the tread.

Kumho MX rule.

hate to say it but you should probably get the car checked out by the dealership or a body shop just to make sure the frame and other components are not bent. Better be safe than sorry. good luck

i will find out monday about the car...suspension...the extent of the damage. As far as the Kumho tires go...I would NEVER buy them again. Maybe they work for some, but they perform like crap for me.... and they look like crap too..lol
