the z06 with a good driver will be in the mid 12's. I've seen them run as far out as low 13's, and I know for a fact that a bone stock z06 has run an 11.9. There isn't very much different between the years of the c5 z06 despite the hp ratings. However, the C6 z06 will be capable of low 11's bone stock given a very good driver. So, this actually would be a drivers race I'd say.

Nope, wrong info there bud. 01' had the 385hp 02-04 had 405hp. Given equal drivers he won't hang. There are 2 guys at work with bone stock Z06's. One ran a 12.92@113mph the other a 12.45@115mph. From a dig and a good launch it's a drivers race from a roll it will be a hard race to win IMO.

Need Alky is right.

I have raced my friends 03 Z06 w/ an intake and cutout MULTIPLE times from 40 to 120mph. I lose everytime by 2 cars. It would be closer if he was stock.

I edged out an 2003 Z06 in June. We did a 2nd gear roll-on and 3rd gear... I pulled barely. IMO, its going to be VERY CLOSE, but I think he might have the edge.

with your setup......
at the strip, depending on driver it would be close! i'd still give the upper hand to the vette... higher trap speed!

from a roll. no

a year ago at qualcom stadium 1/8 street legal drags I raced a z06 running straight pipes. I completely destroyed him because of the mighty all wheel drive. He could not believe what happened so he wanted a second try, which ended the same as the first race. No stock z06 has ever ran low 11's that is a bunch of crap. Bottom line my car which has similar mods to yours runs low 12's all day and with a great launch and drive high 11's. I'd take that race in a heart beat on the 1/4.

My '03 Z06 just ran a 12.20 @ 117.5mph with nothing but a Blackwing air filter, so in a word, no.

Evos are strong in the first 1/8th mile (obviously), but the Z06 really, REALLY pulls on the top end. The back half of the track is where it's at home (and on races from a roll).

With a race-gas tune, higher boost, and a good clutch he could run 11's if he can drive, so don't say no....

My Z06 is an '02. My best time when it was stock was 12.6 in the 1/4. I think I could have done a little better with some slicks but not much. You might hang for a brief time right off the line then he would probably take you.
