Post Swap in a AYC and ACD in US Evo? Possible?

Just a small question. Do you think it'll be possible in future maybe there will be a way to swap out the stock viscus differential and replace it with japanese AYC and ACD parts? or is it too early to find that out right now? Anyone looked into it?

could prolly do the ACD but why would you want AYC, accually im not even sure if you could do both since they had to remove one of them to fit stuff so the car would pass DOT

Well they're complicated systems that are a lot more than just a diff. It connects to the ECU, various sensors and the ABS. So I wouldn't say it would be impossible, but it seems like it would be difficult and an awful waste of time.

Many people believe the car will perform better without it anyway. I mean really all it is is a form of traction control - which might be useful if your mom is driving it.

With the amount of money it would take to do that, you might as well buy an STI or talk to EI.

as I understand it, you can't put the AYC/ACD on the US Evo if you want it to be street legal. the spot on the engine block that the hydraulic pump is attatched to is now taken up by the evaporative equipment needed by US emissions laws. if you could somehow locate it somwhere else, you may be able to pull it off, but that's gonna cost a lot of money.

I also remember reading that the larger US gas tank takes up room where the AYC was.
