True indeed its a bolt-on, but still I think $1500.00 is a bit steep. I like the fact that Buschur offers the core option. Now if the Wr can make the 400whp without maxing itself out, I will consider it. Right now I am leaning towards the 20g.
what makes you think any stock sized turbo can make 400 hp without maxing itself out?

My take is if you want to keep your stock bottom end forever, go with the 20G or stay with the stock turbo. Think about it, lets say the 20G will max out at 450whp. 450whp is probably a very good stopping point to keep it reliable and from blowing up. However, a GT35R can support 600+whp. If you can see yourself rebuilding the block sometime down the road, go with the GT35R. I think as long as you stay out of big boost (25+psi) the stock block will live for a while with a GT35R.

The motor is going to be more detonation-prone (i.e., likely to blow up) at the 450 whp level on a 20G or WR than it would be with a GT35R because of the difference in charge temps, so the big turbo is probably safer at the same HP level.

It's not always about flow. Some people are looking for throttle response (esp. for a road coarse). There are plenty of Evos that would "flow more" and find themselves getting passed by a WR equipped Evo.

how the hell do you go from a 20g to a gt35r as if nothing existed in between. if you're gonna build yer motor and you want s small responsive turbo, get a stroker or a 4g64 and a gt3076.

I got some info on the 20g avaible from lancer shop. It is the Buschur 20g. They buy it from turbochargers.com who i believe was with in with Buschur on the development of this 20g turbo. The only thing is that Turbochargers.com is selling the TME 10.5 with the 20g upgrade for only $1350.00. no core. Let me know if im wrong.

The hotside was an improvement for me moving up from the 9.8 housing.

What i want to know is how is the TME compared to the regular 20G compared to the WR. i can't imagine that there is surge with the TME. my Friend has the WR and it didn't make enought difference to make me want to drop the cash on that. im in the market for bolts on turbos, i want to go AMS but if i can spend $1300 and get an 11 second car i think i'll be happy...

both the 20g and the wr can be done in either 9.8 or 10.5. the 9.8 will give you steeper torque but the 10.5 can have more hp dialed out of it. with the 10.5 and the ti internals you won't experience much difference in spool (not referring to 20g because that spools slower).

most people get 10.5 tho.

Maybe the 20G fitted with the new Evo9 compressor housing will do better

that is nothing but an evo 9 turbo....

the 20g is a comp side mod only... unless you get the tme internals in which case it's a comp side mod with tme hot side.

if those graphs say what i htink they say... the modded 16g market is over... this thing does just enough so that no one else will ever need to do more. it's "maxed" out now. and it looks plenty perfect.
