Why use 2 wastegates instead of 1; granted that using 1 big one works? I say so b/c Chris' will be using the single wastegate. Cost?

i think i read somewhere that by using twin wastegates u can somewhat copy the twin scroll design that the evo originally came with.....
i could be totally wrong..but i think i read this somewhere

You can even the pressures on each site of the tang divider which I am sure even in a small measure is better for the turbo than one wide open and one boost regulated.

you got it. Chris car will have two wastegates not one. with the divided housing of the GT42R it would be much easier to controll exhuast gas flow but having a W/G on either side of the divider. when working with a beast this big you want to controll boost as precisely as possible.
