Midwest Evolution Owners!! (WI/IL/MI/MN/OH/IN/IA/MO) Mitsubishi Owners Day 2005!!!
Just posted in Evo General, incase you missed it...
I'm trying to organize a large convoy to the "Mitsubishi Owners Day, 2005" in Normal, IL at the plant on Oct 22nd!
We're having a mini-meet at AMS Friday night, the 21st and a bunch of us who have driven long distances are staying over down there at a Motel 6 and leaving early Saturday morning!
See this thread here for more information:

it's about time they did it in the Midwest, I saw the California earlier in the year, it looked awesome.
think it might be a trick to get all the modded Evos out so they can do some kind of sick mass warrenty void?

I would like go visit with the AMS guys though. I guess I'll have to stop down and see them another time.

I was at the MOD'05 event in April and I'm pretty damn sure there was no VIN- taking-warranty-voiding shenanigans going on. I can't speak for regional reps but the Design guys and the Factory guys would NOT do that to you. If any one is still nervous about it, tape over your VIN and remove all doubt for yourself. The event at their HQ was excellent, and hopefully this one should be also.
