My buschur 3"tbe with the race muffler and highflo cat was 97db (+2db illegal in CA), with the testpipe I'm sure even louder. At the time (early '04) it was by far the loudest in the DCEvoClub... I switched to the Magnaflow after getting pulled over (no ticket, thank god)

I have the HKS Downpipe, cat delete and Greddy Ti cat-back. This setup is pretty loud, but the sound is nice. (sounds like a baby Supra from inside the car when on boost/ not sure how it sounds outside). I was impressed by the construction of the cat-back. It's very clean with minimal bends and very light weight. Even the exhaust hangers are Titanium. I'm not a fan of the raspy exhaust note, but after hearing this exhaust tone I decided to buy it. If all the exhausts sounded like the Honda's I hear, I would have left the stock exhaust on ! lol

I always say, to each there own..... but I'm a "quiet" exhaust type. I wanted the most quiet exhaust I could find that didn't rob power for several reasons, here are a few.
1) trying to be polite to those around me who don't want to hear my exhaust
2) easier to have a conversation in the car with less noise
3) easier to hear the engine, chassis etc. for any type of diagnostic work
4) don't want to call unneeded attention to myself, from the local authorities or redneck in there pickup
5) don't want to be confused with the ricer hondas out there
6) I like my neighbors, and they like me
7) can't hear a damn thing but the car at a drive-thru
8) I always thought the guys on the harley's who goose it around people outdoors just to look cool, just looked gay. Similar to the honda ricers
9) I like my tunes, I like to hear them, even with the windows down
10) the list goes on......
Can I hear some of the reasons why someone would want the loudest exhaust possible? I'm not knocking loud exhausts, I just don't get it.
