general Evo questions

I went to my dealer today.
Mine is due on 3/20/2003.

The boost was suposed to be 19psi according to what I have read.
I watched the service video, it claims only 18.4 pounds of boost, maybe that is where the power shortage is? Did decrease this because of problems?

One other thing I learned is that the headlights have a focus adjustment. My question is for Evolution owners...
What does this do for visability, anything or not really?

The headlight adjusters are awesome. I have mine on 4 (beams aimed closest to the car) in the city where it's all lit anyway, then out on dark roads I turn to 0/1/2 depending on how dark and how fast I'm travelling. The beams at setting 0 throw light much further down the road.

I thought it was an angle adjustment only? So there's a light output adjustment too??

Thanx 4 the info rollo

It sounds like it works like a Mag-Lite.
Sounds awesome, I thought it might be a gimmick.
Is it low beam or high beam or both?

This constitutes as an Evo question. What is up with Vivd and Works? Great sites but no Evo parts. Coming soon.....

I'm pretty sure its only an angle adjustment. I keep mine at 1 all the time...Keeps everything on the road lit far in front of me...

It's an angle adjustment only. Many Europe-only cars have had a similar thing for years, to adjust for load (ie if there's lots of stuff in the back the lights point up in the air). Mitsu says it's 'to prevent inconvenience to other drivers' or something.

I guess it's each to their own. But there is a big difference between 0 and 4. I really don't need the lights way ahead of me in the city, but when I'm out on Santiago Canyon (my break-in road, Coolguy you have to know where I mean ) it's a different story.

I'm not sure if the high beams move as well. Good question.
