IC spray help
Well I don't have my manual on me right now so I wanted to ask those that have tested it out already. Today I was driving and for the heck of it wanted to test the IC spray. I pressed manual and heard the spray go off but no light indicator on the dash. Then I pushed auto and heard nothing at all nor did any water come out nor any light indication. Is there some special way you have to get it to work? Also if it's on auto the button doesn't stay depressed so how do you switch it off? Do you simply push auto again to make it turn off? I know this sounds stupid but I hope I don't already have something broken on my car.

Well all I know is that on mine, when I push down Auto a green light shows up...When you wanna turn it off, just push Auto again and the green light goes away.. Dunno about the manual button tho, whether a light goes on or not...To me it sounds like the Manual switch is working but not the Auto..Good luck

Ahhh hopefully that's it. I'll double check the manual to see what it says. I haven't driven it hard yet. Still babying it for break in. Hopefully that's it. I'd hate to be without the car cuz something's broken already.

The IC sprayer has three modes: off (default), auto, and manual.
Off: err.. it's off
Auto: Push the rocker once towards the 'Auto' position and let go. The green indicator should light up (like my avatar actually ) Now it will spray.. umm.. I'm not sure if it's time based or temperature based. I think time. Push the switch to auto again (and let go) to go back to 'Off' mode.
Manual: Push and hold the rocker switch in the manual position. The sprayer will spray for as long as you hold it down. You'll be able to hear it, it sounds like a windshield washer pump (probably cos it is ). I don't think the indicator lights when you spray manually.
That's it. Sorry if I overexplained it (and looking back I guess I pretty much repeated WannaRace) If the light doesn't appear (it's over the word "LANCER" on the rightmost gauge) when you go to Auto mode, maybe see if there's enough fluid in there. If there is, then something isn't working right.

I guess mine isn't working right then. I'll check again tonight when it's easier to see the dash light display. Strange though cuz it does work in manual mode. The sprayer that is.

False alarm. It's so damn hot and bright out here at noon I literally couldn't see the light indicator come on. Now it's cooled down and darker I can see it fine now. Sorry for that. It's hella dinky though. (Light that is) Anyhow everyone is correct in the matter. The light will come on in auto mode but doesn't pump water unless under heavy load. (I haven't gone under heavy load but it does nothing in normal driving.) And of course manual mode was working the whole time. I didn't check to see if the light came on but I didn't notice it so probably not. I will have it in full auto when I hit the track hopefully this weekend.
