if the cells are completely dead the batt won't hold a charge no matter how long you charge it.

how long would you typically have to keep the car running to get the battery up to speed?

I suggest drive it to get more load ( amps ) to charge the Battery.

1/2 hour should do it. Assuming your battery is taking the charge.

if you got it to hold a charge...

theres no telling. I'd go drive it around for 10 min but it's probably night time so you would have to use your headlights and stuff which would not help. If it's a bad batt it could lose it's charge overnight.

5 to 10 min in your garage shouldn't hurt , but may not be effective.

It is a fuse if the CEL does not light, and the fuel pump does not prime

so after i got the car up and running last night from a jump, the car still wont start. but at least this time there is some seblence of life. the interior lights work, the headlights go on, etc. but when i try to start her up it just clicks, the lights flicker, and the fuel pump makes noise.

i dont know, the battery just isnt holding enough juice?

thats strange that your battery can no longer hold a charge since its relatively only 2 years old. do you have an aftermarket alarm? aftermarket radio? seems something is drawing a lot of power while the car is off. and yes, try and pick up a volt meter, works wonders and saves a lot of trouble.

ya, just save urself all this trouble and buy a new battery and if it still does it, take out ur alternator and bring it to autozone to get it checked. its free u just have to bring it there. no more thinking about it and trying to jump start it and stuff, just go get a new one.
dont buy it at autozone though because it could start a whole controversey on here about how u bought a cheap part for ur nice car.

Your batt might be dead, but look at it this way... now you have an excuse to get a lightweight battery and upper IC piping from Buschur or any other quality vendor!! Woohoo!! More mods and you get lighten up your front end a little.
