Turbo RPM limits on new engine?
I should be getting my new Evo VIII (05, black) in the next day or two. I've read a very interesting article about breaking it in opposite of what the dealer recommends. however, I've not heard anything on what is a safe limit of RPMs for the engine & turbo, and when is it safely considered broke in?
I looked for this thread before posting. Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

i think it depends on the individual. i just got done doing a 2.4L and it was broke in right on the dyno and 35psi of boost. a little highway time but not too much. mostly preference IMO, yes there are debates on what is best. both have valid points.

In your oppinion, what is the safe RPM range on the turbo durring break in? The dealer told me 6K was the max.
What is your preffered intake & filter combo? Which exhaust do you recommend that has a deep sound ( I hate those cheesy little weed eater sounding cars)and actually helps performance?
PS.
Can you post a link to a worthwhile thread on break in and the 1st recommended mods.
