How to own a Evo VII in the U.S.???

Hey, I am a newbie with a question regarding evo vii. I want to buy a 2002 Evo VII RS LHD, but I want it to be U.S. titled and legit. I have only seen like maye 2-3 on the web from the states. If anyone can help me out with more info on how to look for and purchase that would be great. From what I understand you can not import to the U.S. because of DOT and NHTSA rules. How then did I see 2-3 of the cars on the web for sale U.S. Titled. Maybe I am mising something. Thanks again!!

I think some are brought in my Armed Forces, others are from what I hear they take the car apart and put it back together in the US.

if you whould run a search you will see that out of the 10+/- 7's in the us, maybe 1 is fully legal. all the others are either registered for off road use only or not registered legally. why not just buy the evo 8 and just avoid all this crap. you can easily make the evo 8 look like a 7 and with the 05 having acd there is really no point in buying a 7.
