Greddy/hks Turbo Timers; Can They Glow Red??

Hey all,

I have a GREDDY turbo timer in my car right now. Normally the display lights up blue. Since everything else on my dash lights up red, the blue sticks out.

So I decided to get an HKS Type-0 turbo timer because in all the pictures of it that i've seen, it lights up red.

Now i'm reading the instructional manual, and it says that it lights up blue normally, but when its counting down, it lights up red.

so i'm like F*CK!!!

So i'm wondering, is there ANYWAY to make either one of these light up red normally, instead of blue?

let me know.

thanks

Well after looking at it closely, i realized that they sent me a TYPE-1 instead of the TYPE-0 that I ordered.

Does anyone know if they BOTH light up blue? Or does the TYPE-0 in fact light up red?

You either have to goto the speed menu or voltage menu and you can change the color from there. I have a greddy... and made it glow red. When it's not timing down it will sit on red. Just keep playng with it... lol That's how I figured it out It won't stay red on any of the count down choices... like P1, P2, L or H. You have to goto voltage or speed. Hope that helps

the type 1 is more expwnsive cuz it has more functions and its newer. This glows blue. THe type 0 has less functions, its cheaper. This glows orange/red. It doesnt really match the stock lights.
