Ams Oil
#17
I have been running the oil in 2 of my cars. A Evo IX and a Toyota Highlander. The Highlander has 40k miles using it and I started using it in the Evo 4k miles ago. Oil analysis on the Highlander have always been impressive, haven't done it on the Evo.
I even changed the transaxle oil in the Evo and haven't had any problems so far, even noticed an improvement in shift quality. I bought them from Oil_Doc on here.

I am using AMSOIL in my car and its been great. I also noticed the OIL isn't as black as Mobil1 after each oil change. Im not OIL expert but AMSOIL has been in business for a long time and seem to be very reputable.

I have been using Amsoil for over 10 years now. I have ran it in several 2000+hp dragsters, roadracing cars, formula fords, hot rods, turbo imports, off road vehicles, tow vehicles. I haven't found any product better or even close to Amsoil. Plus it is smarter to buy amsoil because it is cheaper in the long run. If you use some products like ASM,ASL,SSO (0-30,5-30,10-30) They are rated for up to 25k. Try and find any other oil that can guarentee that. Plus with the use of their Amsoil filter. Nothing comes close. Period.

^ I concur with ohsobaked... Eneos is the **** too... 0w-50 is very nice in my evo, and doesn't burn very much at all... #1 leader in japan...

Read the info on that oil.... It's very good stuff and i've been told it is poured straight into the formula 1 honda engines and have special properties that keep the engine from burning excess oil, (especially in turbo cars) hence saving some of the life of your turbo for those evo owners who dont have a catch can or breather on their pcv system... I have a dual catch can setup on my evo for the pcv valve exit and the breather exit off the valve cover, to filter out oil and it hardly ever has anything in it with eneos... It's a very good oil choice.

I would never use Amsoil. They spammed the crap out of auto emailing lists in the 90's. After getting atleast 50 spam emails from them, they completely turned me off with their marketing. I am not a big Mobil1 fan either (good old reformulated oil, ie better profits). I try used Redline Synthetic or Royal Purple, I used mobil one, in my daily drivers, becasue its readily accessible.
