If it aint broke dont fix it. If your running mobil 1 10-30, keep running it. its used on many 500whp evos and still top of the line and very reliable.

in fact mobil 1 synthetic is what they use on many japanese and american F-1 cars and JGTC cars alike. that should tell you something!

I think ams oil does kill the competion... All independent test studies with ams oil included beat out Mobil ONE. Don't get me wrong thou, I am currently running Mobil ONE and have been in all my vehicles for better than 3years.

Ams oil did origanily Pioneer sythetic long before the other companies.....Check out this

Food for thought

Someone brought up this "AMSoil" topic the other day. He said he increased his gas milage by 10% with AMS over Mobil 1 synthetic. Anyone notice gas milage difference after switching. I'd be interested.

Also, what's the difference in price between each? (quart vs. quart)

I believe the 10% gain is when used in conjuction with there tranny oil also...Not 100% on that thou.

you'll void your warranty, but that's rarely a concern on this site. . .and in these cars. . .I swore by Amsoil in my last 475hp turbo charged engine, I'm sorta considering it after I run out of the bumper-to-bumper. . .

Void the warranty?

It's 100% synthetic, not like that Mobil1 blend. Mobil1 is a good oil, Amsoil is better. Proven by test after test. We've got all sorts of literature in the show room.

It's also "Amsoil", said like "amzoil"

We're an Amsoil dealer...We run it in all our cars, oil and gear lubes. One customer noticed an extra 2-3 mpg after several oil changes. He does enough highway driving to notice these things, having over 100,000 on his Evo.

Why would you void your warranty by using Amsoil?

it cant void your warranty. infact, unless mitsu gives you the oil for free they cant void your warranty by running a differnt brand consumable! amsoil is a far superior quality (mobil1 isnt a pure synthetic!). also, for what its worth guys...amsoil has a guarentee that if your motor/tranny/transfer/rear-end/whatever fails due to wear they will not only pay for a new motor, but will also pay for the labor to install it! all you have to do is show receipts and take a small sample and send it in for analysis. if the additives are lower than spec, you get a check! thats good enough for me.

with more than 70,000 miles on my srt, everything is super clean. when i did my cams, we looked into the cylendars and everything looked brand new! cams were clean, walls were clean, everything was groovy!

I thought the same thing. In fact, I'm in the process of looking into doing sales for Amsoil.
