No.. the Evo comes with a Mitsu/Momo wheel. Im talking 13" race Momo. The real deal, no airbag.

Paying more insurance? How do you figure? I mean insurance companies don't ask you to bring them the car so they can have a tech look it or anything. Insurance is based solely on your VIN.

Oh, I see what you mean. That would be a good idea now that you have me thinking about it.

I'd rather have the extra safety of that Momo wheels with airbag... too many idiots on the road.

Until you have an accident and the insurance company finds out you changed steering wheel and the replacment didn't have an airbag, then the stuff hits the fan.

Funny that people never think that stuff through. Same thing with the Evo IX rear bumper install where you have to remove the crash bar. I'd hate to get rear-ended without it and if the insurance company finds out you're screwed because they can claim you removed a safety device and "possibly" deny your claim. Plus it would likely cause a higher degree of damage and higher repair costs.

Wow, when did the Evo 13 come out? I thought that the 9 just came out? Have I been in a coma for the last 4 releases?!
