tune up???

ok i think its like a 30,000 mile tune up, whats involved in it?
what aftermarket parts can i buy for things that need to be replaced that will produce power and be even stronger than the factory ones?
if its not something that will make power or whatnot, should i just stick with the factory ones? thanks
