evo8 cams in evo9

I own a 03 VIII with 264/272 cams im trading the car in for a IX MR is it possible to them in the IX irregardless of the MIVEC.Is it the same head.Does my EXEDY twin plate fit in or my DNP 3" O2 housing,DNP tubular header ,are the exhaust hangers the same.Any info greatly appreciated thanks

I dont think you should get the 9 yet. Wait till the evo 10 come out.

maybe im wrong but there were a few threads about switching cams with mivec.. i cant remember off the top of my head but a few posts were saying how you would only need the exhaust side because mivec only effects the intake side of the cam.... i dont know. hate to say it, but try a search cause i know its been brought up before

No...I believe the cams cannot be transferred.

No, I do believe HKS is currently in the process of engineering some for the IX though.

I read in Autoweek it will be released in early 2007 as a 2007 model, but it did not explicitly state that it would be released in the US at that time.

I would think that you could maybe, possibly, use the exhaust cam as only the intake is MIVEC. I am just guessing.

AEM tuning on the IX.Located where? Anybody know when or if HKS is coming out with cams.

X should be available in 07. tier 2 emissions come into effect then. I don't beleive the 4g63 will cut it.

it's already been announced that the IX will be the last evo with the 4G63 I believe.
