hit a curb, suspension woes

I was out w/ my girl tonite, and wasnt paying attention, and hit a curb leaving the movie theatre, i was probably doing about 10mph the curb was about 4-5 inches high, I thought it was game over, the only part that hit was the front passanger tire. it felt liek it hit hard , I was sure I had a flat or a bent rim but it looked fine, the car drives and feels fine, but when i hit a bump(pot hole, speed bump) theres a noise on the driver side front tire area, it sounds as if the shock collapsed and the spring is just hitting the retainer, its just a loud clunk, also if i swerve real hard, cut it to the left and hard back to the right i get the same sound, those are the only times the noise is audible. i know im dumb, but some feed back would be appreciated.

tire is probably out of balance but suspension should be fine... i just popped a curb at about 30 mph after locking up the brakes from 140 and the suspension was fine but rims were ****ed up and undertray demolished.

jack up that side of the car till the wheel is off the ground. check if the spring is seated properly, slowly lower the car back on the ground. my car developed a clunk after jumping over some big bump where they shaved some asphalt off on the street and i didn't see it. when the car was at the dealer for scheduled maint. the clunk disappeared after it was on the lift.
