Water spots on windshield

Hi guys,
I know theres a lot of you guys who clean your cars real good. Im not one of those guys with the talent to clean my car real well. Anyways my question is that I have waterspots on my windshields and the black rubber pieces that surrond it. They seem like they are engraved in. I really do not know how to get them off. I have tried windshield cleaners and they dont work. Thought maybe you guys would have a suggestion.

A clay bar takes most everything off glass in my experience, including water spots.

If that doesnt work Zaino makes some stuff for windshields. I goes on like a wax but, it has some type of abrasive in it. It works awesome for getting road grime off.

How is a water blade going to get hard or dried water spots off? He said it's like they are "engraved in" I think he is looking for a cleaner to get them off.

I have heard of some people using brass wool with very light pressure to get them off but, I have never done that and don't know that I would really recomend it.

Have you tried a good cleaner wax? It might be tough enough to get them off. Just make sure to clean your windshield real good with some glass cleaner afterward.

I second the Zaino glass polish. I had the same problem on my car and used the Zaino. It cleaned the glass real well. I still haven't figured out how to get the marks off the rubber though.
