You are much better off selling the car privately and taking cash out of pocket to cover any differences over and above your loan amount.

Anyone try Carmax? Its worth a try taking it by and asking for a quote considering they will just buy the car and you dont have to buy a car from them. Also you dont have to deal with trying to sell it to an individual person.

This sounds like Fox Mitsubishi to me, it is too bad they are playing this trade low game. I had Story Nissan in Lansing quote me 17k for my EVO last summer. I told them to shove the quote and their 350Z up their, well you know what I mean. I literally walked out of the stealership at that moment.
A good trade for an 03 right now is 19k-20k. If you get the 0%, free gas, and better warranty the 18k doesn't sound so bad. Plus you mine as well return it back to stock so you can use the parts on your new 8. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I have had trade urges too although I give up after I see what they are willing to give me. Your car is not FAIR, that is the BS they try to use. I would only be willing to take no less than 1000 off of the GOOD value.

Joe, actually was not Fox. Moved from Lansing to Grand Rapids a few months ago for work. Was not happy with the service at Fox. I was told to go to Harold Ziegler in Kalamazoo. I'm not sue about their service but their sales dept and trade people were not really of any help. Guess I'll just keep it and wait for the X.

i notice with evos and stis dealers just LOVE to lowball and make the car seem like worthless junk.. yet the car basically outperforms and outhandles 99.9% of everything on THEIR lot

the car still had the 272 cams and ecutek in it.
