where the harness are you talking about! for sure the ECU harness does change but not the ignition on under the steering wheel.

Okay the IX's ecu is different from the VIII's, but in what way? Is it still 2 high but with 4 plugs or is it the same as the Ralliart's (4G69 w/ MIVEC) ecu pinouts? There's allready a standing intrest from the Ralliart guys for an ecu jumper and all we can get is "It's different" I'll do half the work for you if you'll do the other half. Here's the pinout from a Ralliart ecu, is it the same as the EVO IX's connector wise at least?

Thanks for clearing this up!

The EVO 9 uses a 3 plug ECU. Just like the JDM EVO 8 MR.

1nastyevo,

i am one of these guys getting tuned on nov 19th... will let you know once my br330 gets tuned.

does not the harness attach itself to the ignition and not the ECU, sorry for a newb question? If so then an 8 harness should work right? or does a turbo timer attach itself tothe ECU?

thanks

The BR packages have me curious - They're using Ecutek, right??? We saw what happened at Precision dyno - I would think they'll need to tune these cars down??? Or barely tap into what the Ecutek is capable - Thinking that the BR 330 package is easily capable of LOTS more power

are you speaking of the evo IX? a new ecu? Im sorry but safc II is hardly obsolete for the VIII at least.. last time i checked there were no flashed evos with equivlent mods ( im not talking about upgraded turbos/and the stand alone guys here) running even close to any of the SAFCII cars in norcal...

turbo back exhaust(DP comes on Monday), BM short shifter(monday)mbc, walbro 255....suspension on the way(HKS), retune @ Precision(hopefully next week), EGT/BOOST/Oil pressure in hardy designs panel, 5zigen wheels 17 x 9

Thats it for now. Might, if it does not sell, put the intake(injen) on before tuning...I am curious to see how it will effect the power #s. Considering putting on new fuel rail,injectors(have660 Denso-Greddy), and FPR...to help balance out the walbro...plus it looks nice (lol) ALKY

292 HP/ 302 TQ now...after...we will see

we got baseline numbers in 3rd and fourth gear last night on a completley stock 9. i will be doing an in depth write up tomorrow if time permits. we also tuned it with an afc and it did well. i will post all the graphs and analysis as complete as possible so the discussion does not spiral into the goat rope it did last time. if anyone has something constructive please add. and so the mods no, this has nothing to do with selling products we are simply trying to show the evo 9's qualities. The graphs will also be compared against an 05 mr stock and an 03 gsr stock.
