Got NABBED by the man this morning

107 in a 65. ouch. Was late for work, cop was on an overpass shooting drivers from the rear after they passed. sneaky bastard had a buddy waiting up ahead at a scenic overlook.

cop1: "Morning! Any IDEA how fast you were going?!?!"
me: "not exactly, might have been a little quick I guess."
cop1: "A LITTLE QUICK?!?!? How does 107 sound!?"
me: "not good."
cop1: "damn right! License registration... yadda yadda."
.....cop2 rolls up behind cop 1
cop2: "What the HELL is at 107?!?"
me: "huh?" (I am dumbfounded at the phrasing of his question)
cop2: "Any reason you were aproaching Mach 1?!"
me: "oh, well i was a bit late. guess I should wake up earlier."
cop2: "damn right! You better have a valid drivers license."
me: "yup, cop 1 has it at the moment"
.
.
.

Summons in Nov. Not good considering the court date is for the day before my 30 day suspension is supposed to start for having 4 tickets in a 2 year period. Cop even spelled the reckless ticket: "Wreckless Driving".

The man > me.

I have always heard that those two cop traps can be fought easily in court. Something based on the fact that the cop who witnessed you in the act has to keep you in his field of vision. With the 2 cop system, they can't gaurantee that there wasn't another RR evo.

Get a laywer.

Unfortunately, 107mph is probably "wreckless driving". How long after the over pass did copper 2 nab you? Do you have a radar? Or better yet a laywer?

Man you have 4 tickets and still driving like this. I'm sorry but it is well deserved for driving way over the limit. You are lucky they didn't arrest you. You need to slow down, heck you might not have a license when you go to court.

My advice GET A LAWYER.

Personaly i think that since you were doing it and you got caught, they beat you. Just take the defeat and get on with life, dont try and wiggle your way out of it. but thats just my personal opinion

No radar detector, but you're pretty much F'd with laser unless you spend $1500+ on a good jammer system anyway.. Dont have a lawyer yet, but will probably be getting one. It was about 2 miles from the bridge before cop1 nabbed me. 1/4 mile of so after the bridge the road takes a left and is out of sight, but cop1 was sitting at the scenic overlook at the corner, so he can see all of the highway from there and probably had me in sight from the time I was hit by cop2 until he yanked me.

not trying to wiggle my way out of it. Just a sh!tty sitation. However, if there were a way to get out of it, I would take it like everyone else, but thats not what I'm aiming for here.

ticket 1: seatbelt (took it off to give the cop my license, was probably traveling 75 or so on the highway)
ticket 2: 36 in a 25
ticket 3/4: got in my first accident ever, went off the road at night (backroad) and got 'traveling fast' and a stop sign ticket.

But yea, I learn the hard way, but its not like all of my tickets were speeding rediculously.

I dont' know if I'll get flamed for this...but 107? are you crazy? I wouldn't want you sharing the road on my morning commute.

It's 1 thing doing it on a track or even late at night on a deserted road, road tuning the car...but during morning commute hours? geez.

6:15 am, road was fairly empty. I was not weaving or anything of the sort, but it wasnt the smartest thing in the world.

Going that fast on any road where there are cars/people is just plain stupid- the time for you to react to anything is pretty much gone. Hopefully they take your license and get your dumb *** off of the road- I sure don't want you out there with my family/friends.
