My Evo is a P.O.S.

03 with 24k miles, I have a rattle that stupid Mitsu don't know what it is, or can not fix. I had my 5th gear syncros fixed 1 week ago, now my 4th gear syncro grinding! My car feels slower every day (since mitsu replaced the 5th syncro).

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE CAR, but hearing about all the problems we have with the Evo, im convinced the is a POS!

I have never owned a car with this many problems at only 24k miles!

Stock clutch, so NO i don't abuse it that much!!!

IM FUSTRATED!!!!

I haven't had any serious problems (knock on wood) atleast that I know of. I have some rattles here and there, the dash goes in and out which is easily fixable, and the fact that it feels slower (mine does to) is probably due to being used to it. I drive mine every day so...I have an 04 with 25k by the way.

First of all if you worry about rattles you bought the wrong car. It is not logical to correlate how fast the car is with grinding synchro. Synchro problems with 03's are well documented and should be covered by warranty.

I'll throw my 03 OZ Rally in too. Even with little problems up to 50k miles, I'm sure it'll make you appreciate your EVO.

people usually have bad experienced with first year production cars. even if the evo has been around for a while elsewhere.

41k trouble free miles here. Engine, clutch, tranny... all doing fine. Well, I had a HID go out, but it was replaced under warranty.

Based on some of your previous posts, could the issues be self induced? You had a couple threads asking which transmission, transfer case oil to use, and another asking if non-synthetic oil was ok for the engine. My guess, you picked the wrong fluids. Which isn't the cars fault.
