thinking about buying TurboXS exhaust tomorrow

Hey guyz, do you think that turboxs is a good exhaust? I know that its not a greddy TI but I checked it out and I'm sort of impressed. I heard the the sound clip on it but it wasnt a good copy of it...does anyone have a sound clip of it. thankx..

I like the sound and the look of it. As far as a "Good Exhaust"...since it's got a resonated midpipe i bet you'll be losing some power over the straight units (buschur, lpi, etc). and it weighs a lot more than the Ti units, obviously.

i ended up getting mine for crazy cheap, off of a wrecked Evo, so i love it and haven't really looked back.

the sound is cool and like i said the look is great...if i was paying full price however, i think i might do more research into bang-fo-the-buck units (LPI, Megan, Bushcur)

that's my $.02

thanks man. so your saying that i'll lose power since it has the resonated mid-pipe. whats the point of that thing anyways? is it to deepen the tone?

nah, you won't lose power (over the stock exhaust) but you should search for which exhaust gives the most gains...i'll bet that it's not the TXS...regardless, i really like the way it sounds and looks and you're going to live with it every day, it's all about personal preference....

and i bet you have pics, but here's some more

and the power gains (LPI, etc VS TurboXS) will probably be a small percentage overall, so if you really like the sound/look then go for it. like i said, i LOVE mine, but i'm not gonna claim it makes the most power or is the smartest buy...for me it worked out well.

good luck with your choice!!!

i know a lot of people like Megan and LPI, and i was just about to get the LPI for about $600 (turboback) before a sick deal on the TurboXS fell into my lap...

basically, for rolling around in the dirt at the junkyard and taking it off myself I got the catback, a turboXS BOV, Intake, highflow cat and stock parts (trunk carpet, floor mats) for $400.

i ended up selling some of the parts so that in the end i spent a little under $200 for the exhaust, intake and trunk carpet.

But only the Titaniums cost that much. The TXS exhaust is not the only exhaust that doesn't cost $1000. There's several that cost way less than the TXS, so if you want to save money while getting a good exhaust that makes just as much power then get a Megan or LPI.

Why are the 2 pipings like what? This pic shows the cat-back, which fits perfectly.
