no one know what to think of my car... I guess it was one thing when i just drove an evo to work and I was getting the "pimp your ride comments" .. now that its a 400bhp fire shooting crazy idling race car.. they have no idea what to think. Everyones neck tends to snap around when I go by. I only occasionally where a sport jacket.. but im always somewhat dressed professionally which I think contributes to me not getting pulled over. I work for Dole; we dont exactly believe in suits in produce.

I'm an attorney and wear a suit in the Evo quite a lot. nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe that is why I don't get revved on or hit up to race. I still get lots of looks, especially with the high school kids yelling, "Nice car!"

In addition, I have been pulled over 3 times in the Evo. Two of those times, I was in my suit and one time I was in shorts and sandals. In none of those instances did I receive a citation. I think age plays a role in not getting a ticket too. (i'm 32)

I would think if they knew you were an attorney, that would discourage a citation as well. Maybe get vanity plates advertising your law school would work to your advantage.

Haha this is off topic i know, but i used to live across the street from a dentist office. This dentist would drive his big *** harley to work in dress pants and a button up shirt. Though that was pretty funny.

I am 22 and work for a logistics firm. My boss thinks my WRX is "pretty impressive for only having 2 liters" and is excited to get a ride in my new EVO IX when I get it. I guess it helps that he is a car guy...he offered to let me borrow his Porsche Cayenne for the week when my car was in the shop and insisted that I drive his 2004 BMW 745 on a business trip(talk about a stressful trip! The whole time im thinking "please dont crash, please dont crash, please dont crash").
But as far as reactions...I get the usual Fast and Furious comments. No offense to the over 40 crowd, but most of the proffesionals over that age have no idea what these cars are capable of. They see only the guady wings...and think..all show no go...crazy kids.

I wear a suite every day, but put the jacket in the back seat as well because it's SO uncomfortable. It ruins the whole recaro experience for me.

I never get any looks though. I got pulled over on my way to work the other day in the morning and the cop didn't give a **** that i was wearing a suit, my breifcase was sittin shotty 2!

Though i do feel like people who do look and i just don't notice, think i don't know what i got. That's how i always feel when i witness a similar situation anyway. Or when i'm at the track and watch Evo's run 15's, i'm like "atleast someone told them what they got."

You can't really accidently by this car though, there are a ton of other vehicles that are much more appreciated by the general public for the same price as an evo, you really have the be an enthusiest to own one. Or atleast try to be an enthusiest.

Now when i ride my bike to work in the summer with my slacks and shiny shoes on, i just look like a duma$$.

There are days when i wear my suit then an OR hospital scrub gown with or without a lab coat, no problem. I do get a lot of stares though since my windows are not tinted.
Off-topic, wonder if anyone has ever driven their evo in their birthday suit?

I don't wear a suit. But I kinda wear a uniform, you know the one that usually has a gun and a badge to go with it.

I would not wear a suit and drive my EVO at the same time.

I usually drive my evo wearing bummy looking clothes with maahh stunna looking baseball cap tilted sideways, or with just jeans and a white shirt.

In the summer time I love driving bare foot.

I wore a suit once for a stupid presentation I had to do, no looks here. The only special thing I wear in my car is my hat, and it doesn't usually get me any looks.

I drive my evo to work in beverly hills every day. Our office is around the corner from the beverly hills police dept and they have actually been cool for 2 years. I have had a couple of bike cops make a few comments to me about "nice car" but not bs. On the other hand, I got an exhaust ticket and pop your hood nonsense a half block from my house which I fought via trial by declaration so go figure. The thing is, i am 40 although my car isn't exactly stock...

i drive to work in a suit as well, co-workers dont think much, I get alot of attention from other people.. almost 3 times a week I get good comments on my car from other motorists.

the other day someone in a dodge ram asked me to show him what i got told me how nice my car was.. i spanked him even with misfire..

i don't like to wear a suit driving my car..
