I love Evos !
Guys - I am on an Evo high right now.
This weekend I was in Seatle at famous Subaru tuner shop World One doing a tuning event for Evos
This town - if you have not been here - is like rain city. From the time I got here its been rain, rain and more rain
All day yesterday it was constant rain
I have had some really interesting evos to tune this weekend
Sat night there was a BR stage 3 with Alcohol Injection which pulled .58 G's - it was amazing car to drive
Then Sunday AM there is a RNR tuned 2005 Evo with GT3040 kit, intake manifold, and just about every possible modification you could imagine. Fo a pump gas car - on a stock ecu - this car was pulling hard.
I tell you RNR has come a long, long way - their product finally works properly
Here we are in the rain with 24 psi of boost and a estimated 475 whp nailing a solid .698 G's accelating in 3rd gear clean. I dont know how many cars in the world could accelerate that hard on a rain soaked highway filling with flying wet leaves. Honestly, it was like taking a sunday drive in the park. The evo is balanced and well sorted in any weather. A local shop where I live does turbo M3's which can not even accelerate in the dry without sliding all over the road.
I feel really bad for the poor Subaru guys - the more the evos came and went all weekend the more it seemed they were starting to realize that the evo is the best machine.
The new beak like nose on the 2006 Subaru is an all time low in automotive design.
Last night about 1:00 a.m. - I am testing a white rabbit equiped evo with AEM I was tuning. This car was maxxed out with just about everything you could want - BR stage 3 head, 280 cams, I mean the works.
Doing a pull through 3rd gear with 20 psi - man that new actuator on the white rabbit really is an improvement. On 92 octane that car was simply flying. What a machine. I think this would be a fun daily driver.
The Evo tuning scene in Seattle is really great - lots of big Evo fans here - but the wetaher this time of year sucks - no wonder they choose AWD !

Al,
The weather this week when you got here is the worst it has been all year. Prior to the last few weeks, we had a very dry year. With that being said, I am still happy to have the evo when it starts raining.
I drive the BR stage 3 + alky that Al tuned saturday night and all I can say is WOW! Absolutely amazing. Anyone considering dynoflash, trust me, you wont regret it. I'll post more on results later! Thanks again Al.
