Haha, got my new IX MR!

I went to Huntington Beach Mitsubishi on Saturday and picked up a shiny new Graphit Gray IX MR. That dealership is freakin' awesome! The car is sweet to drive, but it's hard to keep it under 3000 rpm's.

First mods:

Spinner rims and a whistle exhaust!

Jeremy

Cancel your cable TV and cell phone service. You don't need them!

Then keep it below 5000rpms, since that's what the manual says.

Damn...do you know how to help anyone without being an arrogant ***? Not like courtesy is important or anything.

If only you could learn not to bite the newcomers.

I don't care if he says 5000. I know the manual says that, but when you buy a car like this, you baby it. So 3000 for me.

Pics will come soon...too busy driving and working to pay it off.

He def comes across the wrong way, but he is true. I think you should stay around 3000 for for a few hundred miles, but eventually you need to boost alittle to seat the seals correctly.

That is not the proper break-in procedure. Your piston rings won't seal properly. You certainly do NOT baby a car like this, unless you don't want it to perform optimally down the road...

I can't help what you read into my response, but there was nothing arrogant nor insulting in my response. I gave a direct suggestion (5k rpm) with a qualifying statement (manual) - nothing more, nothing less.
