Getting rid of the tail is a definite improvement, but the ultimate sleeper is the new Turbo Forester. Does the quarter mile in the 13's right off the show room floor and looks like something a soccer mom would drive. That's my next car.

I am thinking about De-Winging my Evo too. I have NEVER liked big wings and stuff like that.
To me the WRX looks AWESOME without a wing. Very nice lines, but what is strange (again this is out of character for me) is that I am not sure the Evo looks better without the wing. The trunk line is so squared. I may go ahead and de-wing it anyways by buying a basic Lancer trunk....

I just bought a white RS to replace my totalled Legend Coupe. My car was immaculate and was a winning show car in car audio and in immaculate shape (I own a store). When I picked up my Evo, my wife looks at the others in the lot and comments on the big wing. I tell her I bought the RS withou a wing and she says "good". We pull around and there's my car. She says, "it looks funny without a wing at all". In the showroom she sees an OZ rally and tells me the car needs that wing. While I'm signing papers, she's @ parts ordering one. I like the stealth clean look, I'm 36. I also liked it when a 17 yr old kid in a civic flying through traffic to catch the WRX I was toying with pulls up next to me and asks if I have an Evo. He knew before his clutch engaged
This is all about pride of ownership. Everyone has there own style and taste. That's what makes life fun. I bought this car because it was teh closest thing to a sportbike I could find with 4 wheels, 4 doors, and a trunk. When I really want to go fast I switch to 2 wheels.
BTW, my first mod: Recaro baby seat for my daughter, she likes to go fast too.
