Did your STI have any problem with interior noise?

Mine creaks like hell when its cold out especially. There not much to be done with it though due to the extremely stiff suspension. The whole body of the car takes more of a beating when the suspension doesnt give much. It would be nice to have it quieter but I just deal with it.

Interior Rattles & Body Stress

Try a crack that has appeared @ the top of the windscreen, drivers side & extended 2" straight across screen, I believe this has resulted from body flex in cornering, but they sure do hang on, in a corner.

Heres something I read on here. It was the stupidest thing ive ever heard. Anyhow The door latch which is attached to the body gets rubber build up on it. Take some rubbing compound and rub it off, or sand it lightly. Then put some silicone spray on it. Works everytime

Had rattling in the B pillar, and dash. One of the reasons I sold mine, and one of the reasons why I might not buy IX.

My IX is pretty solid, no creaks but driving it around with the super hard suspension, I can see how it will develope creaks and rattles eventually. Oh well.

Hey man, definitely search for questions like these. The mods even posted a sticky on the endless amount of squeak/rattle/noise threads on here. Post #9 answers your question...

My IX creaks really bad along the top on the windshield at the roof line - oh well. Being close to freezing temps isn't helping

Fixed my one or two creaks.

Headliner (non sunroof) - remove light, you may find the factory isolators are not reaching the roof thus banging away over bumps. I added foam to fill the gap and problem solved.

Door creaks - Rubber movement against each other, placed rubber spacers cut from small o-rings between door and side mirror housing. This puts pressure on the door panel and reduces movement.

99% of the noises are now gone, similar interior noises to my Lexus so Im all good with that.

BMW make noises too, Im actually impressed with the IX MR's lack of creaks but hey, shes new, may get worse.

my integra was quiet when I got it but after 3 years of being lowered It was so noisy turning up the radio didnt even work. I fixed alot of them along the way. I guess thats the price you pay for driving a relatively inexpensive sports car.
