I just put a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX's on my car today and drove through snow and ice without a problem. I had to drive slow but they worked out great...Way better than slipping and sliding all over the place on my way to get them installed. For an inexpensive tire I can't complain at all.

Drive slow and dont step on the brakes. Even with winter tires, you still loose control if you brake, just put a little gas to it when you feel like you're loosing control and then you'll be back on track in no time. I got all season tires and they arent that bad.

i too just put the asx on and could immediately tell a difference in grip in lower temperature. i think people have a hard time realizing that even though they drive an evo in rain and snow you should brake earlier, keep more distance between cars and not drive as fast.
its like the temptation to misuse croquet mallets.

and by difference in grip i mean better. they in no way compare to hot and sticky advans, but like someone said (hobbie i think) - a cold advan is like cold gum, hard and not sticky at all.
