given a choice, which mod would u do first?

goal:
- 400 crank HP
- street and circuit racing

ride:
JDM Evo6.5 TME

current mods:
- standalone ECU
- walbro pumps
- full exhaust (de-catted)
- AVC-R
- SARD regulator
- K&N air filter

future mods (this week)
- HKS 1.2mm head gasket
- downpipe 3"

now are the mods which I'm looking into, given a choice (budget constraint) which would you do first? I'm not so sure if the evo6TME turbo would be able to put out 380 HP?

a. cams/valve springs:
- HKS 272s or Tomei 270s

b. turbo:
- RX-6, T67-25g, TD06-20g, etc.?

Thank you.

I would do coilovers first for road racing.

Next best thing is cams+alcohol injection kit and you're set.

I agree, coilover upgrade then full turbo back exhaust, then engine mods.

You should be close to your goal, 400 crank hp is only a little over 300 awhp. Where are you now?

We can't help you when discussing crank HP. You have to speak in terms of WHP, then tell us what kind of dyno, then the type of fuel (octane, meth, nitrous??). 400 crank HP is not hard to achieve and can be done all day long on the TME6.5 with just a set of cams.

for WHP i think it would have to be around 340-350 WHP.

type of fuel: it is a 95 octane in Thailand but from what I've heard from overseas tuner, ours is not even as good as the 93octane in California. For simplicity sake, let's say it is equivalent to a 91 octane in Cali.

ign is as low as 8-9degs at around 1.5 bar currently.

BOV... u serious? what we normally do is just turn it around so that it wouldn't leak much at high boost levels.

I'm going to get a SARD R2D2 BOV anyway.

Why do people keep suggesting mods he already has? The first post clearly shows that he has a catless TBE, and his 2nd message shows that he already has coilovers.

Erggy, why are you getting the SARD R2D2 BOV? That's a pretty ricey BOV that helps no more than BOVs half its price, and it looks ridiculous.
