Thanks for the pointing the typo out on the clutch guys! Crap, now I need to re-vote. I knew something seemed out of sorts....

I fixed it and now my total is 10,000+ less. Unfortunately, I have thought of a few ommisions I need to add in...

It is still over $26,500.

I'm logging in as my wife (Evowife) to vote the correct amount...

Hey, gotta have rims and tires for racing. Not good to use the stock rims and tires when they are needed for daily driving, plus they don't perform as well. As you can see, my rims were very inexpensive, but are just as light as the MR BBS rims and are the same size as stock, which was important for classification reasons. I'm all about function over form - I don't mind spending money, but I prefer to get the most out of my money as possible.

Actually you picked the rims I'm looking into, really can't beat the price, just givin ya a hard time.

Any way I've only spent about $1,600 on TBE, K&N, EBC and tuning. Car has 60,000 on the stock clutch. Of course there is the $1,185 worth of parts sitting in my closet waiting to be installed (with other yet to be purchased goodies). All-in $2,785 and counting!!

I am ashamed I did it this way but I have learned from my mistakes. Plus I am addicted to my Evo, even though I might have to sell it soon... I did a lot of shop/tuner searching in 03 and early 04. I couldn't find the right shop nor could I find someone that could tune. You probably won't believe who all tuned my car...lol BUT, I am happy to say that my car now goes directly to Buschur and no where else! I have been completely happy with their service, tuning, and professionalism. I have said it so many times in other threads and I'll say it again, "learn from my mistakes".

I'm at work so I don't have the receipts for all of this but I totaled it the other day and it came out to over 30K (parts + install)... Here we go...

-Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood ~I forget $
-Varis CF B-Pillar's ~ I forget $
-APR CF Front Splitter ~I forget $
-APR CF Radiator Shroud ~I forget $
-Upgraded HID's and fogs ~I forget $
-(Evodave) Blacked out head lamps housings/ and tails ~I forget $
-JDM shorty Antenna ~I forget $
-Craig Hardy(sp.) Defi 60mm 3 gauge cluster ~ ~I forget $
- stereo relocated ~I forget $
-B&M Short Shifter (cool knob) ~I forget $
-Steering mount Defi Boost gauge ~~I forget $
-also a couple more things but I can't remember... It gets worse $

For engine mods:
-Custom GT35R Turbo Kit. (What a waste of money. Not the turbo but the company that charged me almost 6K to do it. I was one of the first Evo owners in the US with a 35R kit. AMS and the other kits were not even available yet)
-DNP Tubular manifold (part of the kit)
-Tail 44mm wastegate
-Tail BOV
- At first I bought the UR pipe kit but did not like it. The company that "tried"" to build my turbo kit it hacked it up to pieces so it counts.
-Custom Intercooler Piping
-AVO FMIC
-Magnus Intake Manifold
-HKS 272 cam's
-AEM EMS w/UEGO, & 5 Bar MAP sensor, etc
--Here's the kicker... My AEM has been tuned by 3 different companies, only one got it right. Buschur. Each tune minus Buschur cost around $1000
-Buschur small battery kit
-ATS Triple plate carbon clutch
-Stainless steel clutch line
-RMR T-back exhaust
-Custom 4'' Blitz Intake
-Greddy 720cc injectors
-Walboro (SP) 255 fuel pump
-Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator (w/gauge)
-Perrin Fuel Rail
-Buschur Methanol Kit
-TRE race trans. and drag gears
-TRE transfer case
+ More but I can't think right now because it's 2 AM

-Don't laugh but the only thing I put on was the Intercooler and my old cusco intake (which I sold). I don't have the time, tools, or knowledge. I'm not afraid to say it. So I paid for every single part to be installed by a shop... Try not to flame. This is truth squad right....

Sorry for all of the "~I forget $". I probably forgot most of these because I can't believe I did them so many times. Engine management has been my biggest issue. I started with the Xede, could not get it tuned right (sold it). Then I went with the Power FC (ended up being for a Evo 7) had two tuners try to tune it. Didn't happen. I even had Marco from Magnus come down from Canada to try. He was the closest to getting it to work without the proper software. Then and now the AEM. I had three tuners try at least $1000+ a piece and still couldn't get it to work. Tons of custom work to get things to work properly. Tons of times I had to have things redone and done again. I'm not one to bash companies because that's not me but what comes around, goes around...

To say the least I learned a lot but at a VERY high cost.
