high flow cat vs test pipe
im currently running catless but thinking about getting a cat because im moving to chicago where there is emission test every so often... and i don't want to get caught without it...
heres my question...would changing an test pipe with a high flow cat affect performance?...i did some search but couldn't find any definite answers...
and any recommendations of high flow cats??/

Yes, of course, HFCs flow much less than test pipes. If you're worried about emissions inspections, then just unbolt your test pipe, slap in the stock cat, then go get inspected. Come home, and do the switcharoo. That's what's great about a test pipe vice the one piece downpipe/cat-delete combos.

I have a UR HFC gutted out 10 % for even more flow. it looks like one of those stock cat on normal cars. It even has slight rust on flanges just like stock cat. and keep your stock cat for later state inspections. you can buy mine and gut out 100 %.
I will sell you cheap. 60 dollars shipped if you want.

As long as your car does not Throw "Check Engine soon", you are fine in Chicago. Emission test only takes 5 mins to be completed. No1 will stop you and inspect whether you have a cat or not.
That's what happened to my Bro's Eclipse.
