letting Air in....yes becasue they are open

increasing front end lift.... possible
ram air effect like on the Mach 1..... no

the ram air effect was desirable for older muscle cars as the ram air effect would actually produce one to two psi of positive pressure by the end of the quarter mile. the ram air effect would be useless on the evo or any car with a turbo as you already have a tool for pressurizing incoming air. the stock evo hood does a good job of scavenging heat from the engine bay. most other hoods would be more rice than function.

In addition to what has already been said, the Seibon hood does not save hardly any weight over the stock hood. Therefore, I would not waste my $$$ on one when there are so many more useful mods, unless I just cared about what the car LOOKS LIKE.

That's the best reason to upgrade. Get a ding, scratch, or maybe some ricer wants to buy it for a price you know you can get a CF one for (like our OEM wings). I want that same hood, but i don't feel like paying for it when i know the money could be better spent else where.... Now,... if i could just find a mini van to slide into on all this ice (North Dakota has no fault accidents in winter)??? Bumper + Hood + insurance =
