Anybody else with the RS have the plastic cover over the shift gate pattern on the shift knob come unglued and fall off?

yea I have an RS and the same thing happened the dealer will not fix something like that unless you are crazy. You just need to clean both sides and re glue it staight. I think the dealership would laugh at you if you brought that in. Plus they would probably take your car for a beat down run

Good point, I definately wouldn't leave it overnight for a shift knob, figured they might order one in and I could pick it up.

I was checking because if somebody else had it, case in point, the replacement knob won't fix the real problem. I'll probably just put my old MOMO knob from my GSX on it.

Thanks Wicked.

You must be shifting like a mad man! Shifter just fell off? Kinda like breaking the bed while getting your hump on. Something to brag about!

You driving it through the winter? I took mine off the road and have been wet sanding it slowly to get it ready for a pearl white and I'm going to re clear it. I had the thing for a couple months and there some stone chips so I'm going all out when I get the chance at my bodyshop I work for. then 3m clear braw the front end for protection. Anything done to your car yet?

Yeah, I bought it to drive everyday, rain/snow/shine (14.5k since April 05.) I don't believe in having a garage car, but to each their own, the EVO makes a great one.

No mods yet(added radio+speakers.) I just bought a house a few months ago, so once I get everything stabilized cash flow wise and have some disposible income I'll probably do some light mods(intake/TT/bov/rear muffler section/wheels/springs/shocks.) I'm want to keep that 100k warranty, if possible, with a slight boost in power.

I would like to get a clear bra though, I'm noticing quite a few rock chips on the front end as of late. Have you ever had one before? Do they work good?
